So Far Gone

IMG_2924

Tell me the walls are talking or the door is looking

tell me the sky is playing the symphony or the earth is singing

tell me whether the water is scary and causing the fire to be horrified

tell me that the air is poisonous and causing the dark and grey to be terrified.

Answer me when darken exist in the light

answer me when the snow melts in the bright

answer me when the river flows upwards

answer me when the time goes backwards.

Question me when all children becomes Benjamin Button

question me when all kings gone by the spring

question me at the doze slumber of a nightingale

question me when all word going to end.

To Rome With Love

IMG_0184

In late night, as I flipping through postcards that were sent by my friends over last summer; seeing their enjoyment travelling around the world; something inside spoke to me and said, “Lets go! Let us have an adventure of our own. Come on! While you are still in the silence of journey, lets us just wild through and go along with the flow. We have nothing to loose!’.

As quick and swift as fox, I threw the postcards to the table, ran to the bedroom, grabbed the backpack that are use for class and put my plain t-shirts, hot pants and innerwear in which the number of clothes that I packed does not resemble Marco Polo at all.

Since it is impromptu, I want to keep the plan to myself and due to that, I can’t call my friends to send me to the airport. Thus, a cab arrived ten minutes later and the sleepy driver drove to the airport in the middle of the night. After paid the fair and tip him with a Starbucks voucher; so he could get a hot roasted coffee since it is my fault on the first place called him on the first place; I went straight to the selling counter to find out only five counters still open and having Qantas Airways, British Airways, Air France, Emirates and Virgin Atlantic does not sound cheap.

Before I knew it, a copy of receipt together with my card is being handed to me while the sales person told me the earliest flight to Rome will commence within 40 minutes. As I pace to the boarding gate, my mind recall what had happened five minutes before. The vivid flashback starts to roll its film focusing upon me who stood in front of those counters. Suddenly, it occurred to me to grab the earliest flight list on the information board. I made a look and “Rome” captured my sight. Hence, I directly went to the Air France counter and asked whether a seat is still available on the craft.

“You’re lucky” says the sales person. “Yesterday,  we received a call from one of our passenger mentioning that he want to reschedule his flight to the next after and the former seat is still fully covered because he said that perhaps having two seats for two different days is feasible. He added that he would call if to tell us which flight he will take and just now, he called stating that he would took the second ticket that he purchased. So yes, we do have an available seat and it’s fully paid. Perhaps you want to add on for a meal for the flight since it will consume roughly around 3 hours to reach Rome, Italy.” and for reason for the credit card was swiping through the payment machine, I smiled.

After I landed at Leonardo da Vinci Airport, I got into a taxi and told the driver to send this precious carriage to a little in called Cialdini. I quite surprised myself as I only knew about the inn from a travel column that I read from Cosmopolitan magazine few months back. Just as I stepped in, I was welcome by Paolo, the owner of the inn; an old guy which I assume in his early 50s, having white butcher beard and he wearing a plain white t-shirt with brown pants together with a pair of red suspenders. He coincidently taking care of the counter when I arrived and welcome me in his thick Italian accent while his hands dance in the air when he talks.. Later, he gives me a key and personally carried my backpack as he shows the way to my room. While he took off his flat golf cap and fan himself; perhaps from the two floor journey; he opened the door.

It is a beautiful room indeed as the ray of the morning sun penetrate the T-shape windows all the way to the bed with there is a light brown writing table at the right side of the bed facing the wall. The room was simple but beautiful. I thanked Paolo and threw myself on the comfy bed and my stomach starting to growl begging for food. I remembered that I haven’t dress any meal since last night.

So I went out using the back door and my eyes instantly captivated upon what its behold. The alley is just about 20 foot width but both side of the alley are filled with stalls that sells fruits, clothes, kitchen utensils and many other things which I don’t usually see in my hometown. Buyers negotiating with the mongers, one child running with an apple in his hand, two old man sits on stools; talking, chattering. It is an amazing sight.

I strode along the alley and I noticed a small restaurant called Ragazzi Picolli which attract me to step in. I was welcome by Ella Fitzgerald song that fills throughout the room and I sit at one little table right at the corner when a girl I assume in her 16 give a menu in later which afterwards, standing still, waiting for me to give my order.

Since the menu are written in Italian, my mind starts to juggle itself and my lips uttered,  “Un spaghetti ala tomato pasta et parlez”. I think what I said to her was right because she just jolt it down and gave the paper to the kitchen counter. Fifteen minutes later, a plate of spaghetti with four large meatball on top and a glass of cold water are serve. I enjoyed the meal really much partly because it is purely Italian made.

After finished the meal, I continue my journey along the pavement alley as I smiled to every person that passed me by while whispering to myself, “Perhaps, Paris is known for love and Milan touched the base for passion. But, both love and passion does not beat the sincerity of two hearts; as written by Shakespeare; the story of Romeo and Juliet.”.

Let me share my love here before I return and see the wonder of Rome from the eye of Eve. By instinct, I can feel this journey would be magical.

To feel the love of Rome.

Is The Line Dead?

IMG_8208

One of the best feelings in the world is when we hear the voice of our love ones in the end of the line; whether it a late night conversation or a mellow call early in the morning. Perhaps it can be consider in the rule of love which exceeds Bhagavad Gita as one of priority when a couple experiencing Adam and Eve relationship when they are being thrown to each end of the world.

Relationship is just like Cosa Nostra, it demands every gullible efforts, passion and energy in order to deliver the best within you to your partner. Romance is not enough without a railway slip and from there, you able to see at which joint that went wrong. Thus, fixing it together like Lorelai and Luke.

Girls wants a guy with Sephora and guys would expect girls to being able easily to handle like a Mustang; in which both party would sunk to the Pharaoh's melting pot. Feeding each other with mutual respect and trust are the key factors and things will eventually work they way up.

Acceptance

Acceptance

Lots of people expects good feedback upon things that they did; as it is a sign of achievement whenever it work up to the top.

Whether it is about relationship, career or idea; conceal in matter of “hope”, sometimes it could change someone’s dream, fate or journey all being put upon a thing called “decision”.

Since when saying “No” is complicated despite the heavy burden underneath it that would not harm you in a way; as hope fill it all the crap under those two letter word.

Getting all the reasons above, it is better compare to hear a “Yes” in which responsibility, credibility, sincerity and accountability are on stake.

I’ll go for the easy path.

Blackberry 9700 Bold II & Nokia E72

Blackberry 9700 and E72

It never occurred to me that I would use Blackberry phone and Nokia E72 despite the satisfaction that I obtained from my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.

But the 4 months holiday has change it all.

It all begun when I didn’t do anything during the holiday due to the accident that occurred which cause my limitation of moment. As I am a regular Twitter user, I always tweet using Twitter desktop client called Tweetdeck and I used my Nokia 5800XM as a modem by having it working as a wifi hotspot using a software called JoikuSpot.

From there, I always check my Twitter timeline regularly; heck only spent 5 minutes in the loo and then jump off towards the screen. Therefore, I couldn’t detached myself especially when I went out from my house due to the fact I couldn’t use my Nokia 5800XM to check my Twitter through a software called Gravity since I no more subscribe to DiGi Internet Weekly due to the fact my house already have Streamyx. Logically, you wouldn’t subscribe a 384kbps internet speed whilst you have a 1Mbps speed back at home.

Plus, it is much more hurtful for me when I went back to my mother’s village that doesn’t have any basic enmities infrastructures at all; electricity, water and INTERNET!

Rhetorically, I’m out reach by civilization since I could not tweet about it since the experience when I was there is overwhelm.

From there, the urge of having a Blackberry emerge but I said to myself I don’t need it since I love my Nokia 5800XM so much.

The climax is when I always go out from the house one months before the new semester open and I from there, I realize that I couldn’t live without Twitter to express on what I feel at all time.

Economically, it is only cost me RM25 per months to subscribe BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) compare spending RM60 per months for internet. On the other hand, I already have DiGi Internet Prepaid which only cost me RM100 for 100 days of internet surfing; thus I already save a whole lot of money for mobile internet.

In addition, by having a Blackberry, I could browse the internet on the go, receiving my e-mail real-time, updating my Facebook status and most importantly, twitting anytime and anywhere.

So where did Nokia E72 came in?

Actually, my initial intention is to only to buy a Blackberry Bold II but it all changes when I browse about Bold II competitor which is surprisingly Nokia E72.

When I see the design language and the material that being used, I’m amazed and fell in love with it in an instance. Since my real intention is the Bold II, I bought a secondhand E72.

Considering it is running using Symbian 9.3, it is compatible with the software that I installed in my Nokia 5800XM.

Since my DiGi will be put into Bold II, so I decided to put my Celcom simcard into Nokia E72 considering my 4 years faithful Sony Ericsson W810i has some mishaps especially due to the quiclkly-drained battery, poor earpiece sound projection and the not-so-good fireport resulting I couldn’t recharge it directly. I have to twist the wire and cable here and there for it to charge.

I thought that I continue to use my Nokia 5800XM as least as a music player but since Nokia E72 could deliver the same quality of audio projection via a Bluetooth headset, it ends up in my bag hoping to be use again one day.

After I bought both phone, I put my female bestfriends pictures as the wallpaper, you know, to give the persona and beauty of it.

Finally, you see me always tweeting and replying messages from people from different social platform such as Twitter, Facebook and Blackberry Messenger.

It is true indeed, “Once you go black, you never go back”.

DSC_0008Struktur permainan tradisional kaum Melanau

DSC_0012Keindahan pantai Matu

DSC_0027Kisah sejarah rumah panjang Melanau

DSC_0033Panorama rumah panjang Melanau

A welcome to my new life

A month ago, I came to UiTM Shah Alam with the hope to do better and make myself more determine to pursue of what I love.

Since then, I started to learn new things, experienced new things and getting to know new people.

But then, the pressure life here does makes me think sometimes, “Did I make the right choice?”.

Hence, doubt is still spreading around me.

Thus, it did not make me fail to take this risk, take this chance and make a change.

Here, I present to you my newest family members from Bachelor of Mass Communication (Interpersonal), MC227 from the group of MC27S1A.

DSC_0008

Most of these people come from different background and different part of the region which makes my class more interesting than the others.

DSC_0025

I like this picture the most because this is the first shoot that I made for my photography class and the output was outstanding; it’s almost like the photo for a motorcycle commercial or something.

22012011019

This picture was being took during the PWW (forgot what it’s standing for), one hell of tiring day and I like this because it’s from my newly-bought-phone Nokia 5800; I would post about it perhaps in later future.

I think this is the only thing for now; I‘ll keep you guys posted.

Promise.

Hometown : Kampung Boyan

I was born in a typical modern Malay kampung which you can compare to Kampung Bharu in Kuala Lumpur.

Kampung Boyan; located at the area of Petra Jaya, Kuching, Sarawak is the best place for me so far in the entire of my life.

As a resemblance, both kampung share the most common thing, it’s located near to the main city; which for my kampung is just located just across the Sarawak river.

DSC_0065

During the evening, you will enjoy a beautiful scenery of Kuching city from the other side.

Dusk ray really outstand most of the buildings to create a galore and spectacular view for eyes to feed on.

DSC_0067

With every minute that passes by, you can see the changes in the colour of the atmosphere; resembled by the lighting reflect from the building as you can compare from both of the pictures above.

DSC_0066Now, you guys must be wondering on how to get the other side? Fear not, if you live near the city’s hotel, you can use the service of the penambang to get you to the other side with a fair RM 0.50 to get across.

DSC_0068

The penambang will take you from each of the side and they operate until 11 p.m so you guys do not need to be worry if there is no more transportation to get back to the other side.

DSC_0070

Penambang or also known as small boat has been the traditional method to go across the river as long I remember. It is now is a trademark of the Sarawak river in any print outs about Kuching.

DSC_0071

Here, there is a lot of stalls selling local food and beverages such as the popular kek lapis Sarawak, mee kolok and laksa Sarawak.

There is also some small stalls that sells local merchandize plus not to forget the exquisite ikan Terubok masin that you can get it all here.

 DSC_0072

After enjoying the food, you can have a long walk along the village waterfront to enjoy the beautiful scenery around the kampung area.

DSC_0074

You could have a glimpse of the end of the city which locates the ships for the fishermen.

I hope you guys could be thrill to come here and if you do, we do welcome you with open arms.

How to get album art for iPhone, iPod & iPad

Some of the user of those device out there must be quite frustrated seeing other’s people songs in their own playing devices have an album art.

What is album art?

Album art is just like the cover image of the songs. Taking the example of a physical album which have a cover picture; that’s album art but it apply virtually since songs are in matrix and cloudless shape; either in mp3 format or mp4 or any other format which is known by the player.

Is it good or bad to have an album art?

Well, it depends on the user. Some user doesn’t mind if their songs have album art or not but for the users who obsessed with the singer/band or even a perfectionist; it is important.

So how to get album art for the songs?

There is two method which is manually and by using a software called TuneSleeve. Note that to ensure these methods are working, you need iTunes. For iPhone, iPod and iPad user, it would be hysterical if you guys doesn’t have iTunes installed in your computer.

First method is the manual way.

1. Open iTunes.

2. Search for the song which doesn’t have an album art on it.

CaptureClick for larger image

3. At bottom left corner, there’s a small arrow icon, click it.

4. It will show an empty box which is meant for the album art.

Capture1Click for larger image

5. Open up any internet browser and go to “images.google.com”.

6. Type in the keyword of the artist along with the name of the songs. It would help to find its own album art exclusively for the song itself.

7. After the images has appear, click any pictures that you think suit your taste.

8. Click “right-click” and choose copy.

9. Now return to iTunes and put your cursor to the empty box just now.

10. Click “right-click” and choose paste.

11. If it’s according to plan, it would turn out to be something like this;

Capture2Click for larger image

Second method is the easiest way on how to get album art especially when you have thousands of songs in your laptop.

1. Go to www.download.com and search for TuneSleeve.

2. Download and install it in your computer.

3. By having an internet connection, you open up the TuneSleeve.

Capture3Click for larger image

4.Just choose the name of the playlist or you can opt to search for all songs or a song by song (one-by-one) to find the album art. Need to be reminded that your IDTag of the songs such as Artist and Tittle are correct.

5. Let it running because it is searching the album art in the internet.

6. Afterwards, it is done.

Having either these method being done, just connect your device i.e iPhone, to the computer and just synchronize it with your iTUnes.

And there you go, a full album art for your songs in your iPod!

Thank you for reading this post.

P/S: For other device such as Nokia 5800, they also can use iTunes to search the album art using those method. Then, just copy the songs directly from D (not from iTunes) to the destination folder in the phone. When you play your songs, the album art will reveal.

Farm, Food, Birthday

About a month ago, my course; Diploma In Plantation and Industrial Management had our team building for the Part-1. Despite I have to spend two nights in the ladang alongside with bugs and insects, I would rather say it is much of a success.

But the most important thing is that I can see the beautiful nature panorama and it can be only see in the ladang.

One of it is the view of the dragon fruit patch.

DSC00001

Beautiful isn’t it? I mean just by looking to the whole green scenery does makes you feel calm and just want to enjoy the nature.

A week after that, B.J and I have a new activity on Friday which what we called “Food Scavenging Hunt”.

Why?

Because the UiTM staffs from different departments will have their tea time at Anjung Seri and quoted from Assoc. Prof. Margaret, “If a students held event, there’s no enough food but when the staff handle even, there’s always so much food”.

And that is the reason on why both of us having our evening to lurking around for free food and let me tell you this, from the picture, the result is not that frustrating.

DSC00005

We have a lot of leftovers until I swear you can get this leftover to be finished for a birthday party.

Talking about birthday party, about three weeks ago, my little brother Raqib, had his 8th birthday celebration.

It’s not a big celebration, just a relatively small one; between us family only.

Even the picture was taken from my camera phone and here I post it for your view.

DSC00012

From here, you can see the older siblings aren’t there because most of them are busy playing with the computer and only know to finish the cake after the candle being blown.

Some non-supportive siblings I assume.

The student’s imaginative story of UiTM Sarawak

Since UiTM Shah Alam kalo compare dengan UiTM Sarawak, banyak giler perbezaan. This due to the different environment that both of the campuses had, has and have.

As for a student, hidup kat sini much more towards Green Eviroment yang menyebabkan mostly suma student kat Semenanjung rasa rindu bila return tempat diorang balik.

Early in the morning kat Shah Alam, student yang ada bilik kat kolej Perindu, buka jer langsir yang diorang nampak sinaran mentari silau gila and pak cik gardener tengah potong rumput guna lawn-mover. Tak pun bunyi bush-cutter yang memang memedihkan telinga and for surely giler annoying.

Tapi kat Sarawak, early in the morning memang sejuk giler; especially kalo bukak kipas laju tahap maksima. Diri dalam bilik masih berkelubung lagi but since ari Isnin, they have to get up. So macam biasa kitorang bukak la langsir and mak aiii…masih berkabus lagi luar tu. Cahaya mentari macam efek cahaya ko dapat hidayah gitu. Instead korang kat Shah Alam just dengar burung chirping pagi-pagi, kitorang kat sini memang ada burung chirping gak but diorang chirping dengan siap ada irama lagi. Bertambah masyuk lagi for the morning scenery bila ko lihat burung kenyalang terbang freely depan mata ko and kitorang punya gardener is in his cawat chasing off the pest, Phrobosis monkey guna sumpit. FYI, kat sini banyak pokok tinggi-tinggi and blue berry bushes take over the grasses. Those monkeys salu curi blueberries and sebab tu la gardener have to chase ‘em away. Korang jangan ah risau cause those monkeys tu masih idup gi. Hujung anak sumpit tu pak cik gardener dah celup ngan bisa katak merah yang dah dicair so it wouldn’t kill. Just pengsankan monyet tu and then letakkan diorang out of the campus ground.

Pas dah mandi kat perigi yang memang sejuk giler and kitorang pun get ready for class. Instead of tunggu bas kalo kelas kitorang jauh, instead we guna perahu and we kayuh sendiri tau. No driver no aper. Sebab tu muscle kitorang boleh tahan jugak muscular nyer.

Kelas kitorang bukan dalam building instead we use mother nature as our class. It is open out of the field dengan beralaskan prairie grass as our floor. We sit down and listen the lectures for the day. Owh, kitorang tak rasa panas pun because pokok-pokok tinggi giler and the canopy actually covered the ground. Sebab tu sejuk jer….tambahan pula kat sini memang windy gak.

Fresh air is good for our brain and that is why we no need note pun. Suma masuk dalam otak…kira nyer photographic memory ah. Lagi pun, we urge to save the trees. Kalo kitorang guna kertas, it will endangered the forest.

As for electricity, we have no problem for that since hydroelectric damp just sebelah kitorang jer. Soket plug memang everywhere even kat banir pokok pun ada. Sebab tu kitorang kuat main Facebook, Twitter and online sebagai nyer sampai ke lewat malam dinihari. Plus, wifi kitorang memang available 24/7 since the router is being put at every tall tress. Tambahan pulak ada WIMAX, hence the coverage is not a problem for us.

If the students nak chill out, pondok rehat kitorang actually is a tree house. Memang convinient because some student may have their short nap dulu before sambung balik kelas petang.

If students rasa haus or lapar, we just petik jer buah yang banyak giler kat pokok in our campus ground. Patahkan anak pucuk buluh and cucuk ke dalam buah jadikan macam straw. Very freshening indeed. If ada student bawak penknife, kitorang belah jer buah on the spot. Memang best arh…especially kalo potong and have buah tembikai tyme ari panas-panas camni.

Pak guard kitorang bukan nya macam pak guard kat Shah Alam. Kalo kat sana pa guards akan kejar pelajar sampai ke kelas kalo coba nak lari dari pakai kad matrix, sini lagi dahsyat. UiTM Sarawak pak guard kejar kitorang gak tapi bukan guna motorsikal or lari kejar student. Instead diorang naik kuda kejar cause ground level kitorang bertanah and kuda lari pun dapat selit-selit celah pokok tu. Memang salu ah kitorang kena tangkap. Kuda tu beb…..

At Shah Alam, students and the staffs memang salu ada risk kena kejar ngan anjing. Tapi sini, kuss semangat. Bukan anjing yang kejar kitorang tapi babi hutan. Mana tak banyak student kat sini kuat lumba lari. Sapa yang tengok citer Avatar yang tang part Jack Sully kena kejar ngan predator tuh, macam tu ah keadaan time kena kejar ngan babi hutan tu. Lagi pun, aku sendiri malas nak main samak-samak ni. Memang berguna for kitorang kat sini. Kan prevention is better than cure….

Disebabkan suma UiTM Sarawak students and staff loves the environment, misalan nyer for urgent notice, kitorang tak guna kertas untuk sebarkan maklumat tu. Untuk penyampaian maklumat yang cepat, no walking or running atau pun naik kuda cause we have a lot of rivers here and the soil agak tenggelam gak kat sini. Instead, diorang bergayut dari satu pokok ke satu pokok…ala-ala tarzan gamak nya so that the information can be send within 20 minutes!

Budak-budak perempuan kat sini diorang tak suka sangat guna emas tu because it will attract the monkeys and the wild boar to chase ‘em because of its shining reflection physical characteristic. They all dapat menda tu from their kampung la.

Talking about skulls, kitorang punya college lobby chandelier bukan macam ala-ala love or christal glass shape tau. We use those skulls as our chandelier so the lighting effect come out from the hollow part; both eyes and mouth; does really make a good light effect.

FYI, kitorang tak bayar guna duit untuk dapatkan menda alah tu. Instead, we bought ‘em using oil trade. For a barrel of oil, kitorang boleh dapat 52 chandeliers. Memang bargain bebetol.

As for our campus chief, since we do love the culture here, he don’t wear suits or tux in the campus within his office. Instead dia pakai pakaian yang orang Iban  selalu pakai untuk tarian ngajat tu along with the parang and the terabai (shield) as a symbolism to show his superiority and power. Kalo nak ditanya kat aku, memang aku tak berani nak masuk office dia….

Tu ah sedikit sebanyak info tentang bagaimana life kat UiTM Sarawak nih. Kalo ada apa-apa soalan, datang ah sini and experince sendiri eyh!

P/s: Thank you for Nabella Naha for the great inspiration for the story.

Lucky Week for the social circle

Last week was the most memorable week ever that our circle has encountered. It was so good until I have to force myself to remember those lucky things.

1. Hairul “Hando” Hafiz & Sharifah Shazzea Wan Akil won the MPP election.

With the help of Facebook, anything can be possible! Both of them have set up their own Facebook Fan Page and ultimately conquered the UiTM Kota Samarahan for their own faculty with the majority votes.

As the MPP-elect, both of them will surely gives all of their best to fulfil the wants of the all students in UiTM Kota Samarahan in relation to strive them to success.

The choosing for the Majlis Tertinggi will be handle after Chinese New Year break since both of the MPP-elect who are also the members of the Engli sh Debate Unit will represent UiTM Sarawak in Borneo Cup this Thursday alongside with their team mates.

Good luck to us all.

2. Succeeding obtained Block 6

For FIVE semester in a row, ladies and gentlemen, yours truly has been in Block 6 again despite the pointer that he has. It has to come to a very good medical-purposes-excuse and bit o’ help from our beloved TPHEP himself.

Not to mentioned, Wan too succeed to get a room in Block 6 and the best thing is his all alone there! *mischief grinn*

3. Financial add-on to my account

The payment for blogging has finally banked in. A lot of thanks to Jacklyn Chew for giving her best effort to find the nearest bank and put in rest the money in my account.

Although it isn’t that much, but I really appreciate it. If there’s any more job to do, inform me yeah! LOL

4. Unexpectedly getting a discount at Sushi King

When I received the payments, I ask B.J, Redha and Wan to tag along to the Spring so that I could treat them that 3-For-RM10 Igloo ice balls.

Then we decided to enjoy some sushi at Sushi King outlet downstairs. When we want to pay it up, we’re gave 10% discount with the reason of “just-simply-give-you-guys-discount”. We was like “Oooookaayy” with that gloomy-look eyes.

5. B.J parked his car right in front of the Spring’s entrance

When we went to the Spring again last Saturday and searching for a parking space, we had five rounds at the carpark basement until there’s a car leaving that parking lot just right in front of the entrance.

To make things sounds luckier, B.J accidentally pressed the unlocked switch for the door and his car remain to be unlock until we get there 3 hours later having his car remain safe! Now, how good luck is that!

There’s even a picture to prove it!

6. The Debate Unit get it’s own room!

Finally, there’s a room especially for the Debate Unit and perhaps that room is going to be use to be the administration room for future use. The best part is that all of the debater will be eligible to have their own name card! Now, that’s cool.

7. Progress of the juniors getting much more better and better

Since I already came out with the outline of the debate; on what they have suppose to say for every different position; it looks like the junior debater can get the hang of it. We even the the consistent attendance from a group numbers of people and that is rarely happening for the past semesters. I hope it will continue to stay like that way.

For all of that thing, last week was the best week not just for me but also for the circle as well despite loads of stuff that we had to do. Furthermore, we will continuously retain  the pump but not until it can overflow.

Monument

DSC05512

Kuching is a very good place to visit nether less on what you are aiming for when you come by here.

Either you want to get a bulk of “ikan terubuk masin”, Sarawak “Kek Lapis” or even to pump up your stamina in bed buy getting gambir; Kuching town is a decent place indeed.

If you one of the people who likes to eat and would like to experience all types of Sarawak food. you may come to the Open Air food court located near to the Electra House (a shopping mall kinda), Kuching Central Police Station and India Street.

It has that distinctive tower which other parts of Kuching doesn’t have it; except for it’s brother, Pending Fire Brigade Central.

Why so?

This is due to the fact, ladies and gentlemen, that before the Open Air was even being exist, it is once a Fire Brigade Central in the year of 1924 (correct me if mistaken). Back to that time, that tower is actually the watch tower to cover the horizon of Kuching town since back then there was no tall building as it is now which could block the view of entire town.

Here, I gave you my first lesson on Kuching history. Maybe I will post more about Kuching history to you guys out there.

P/S: My laptop charger already faulty. I need to get the new one ASAP!

Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010

Yeah, I know that I haven’t updated this blog more than a month. As usual, I would give the blame to the activities that I have to endured along this while; doing the Cinderella house chores for example.

Reviewing back the year of 2009, there has been a lot that happened; either it’s good or bad, either it’s evil or justice; I have experienced all this things through out the year.

First, we talk about my academic achievement. For the first semester of the year, my pointer dropped tremendously until I barely survived for the new semester. When I look at it again and analyzed it, I realized that this matter came from Him to remind me to do not be so complacent and occupied with all the things which are not related and contribute to my academic scores and achievements.

When I finally opened my eyes on what I suppose to do and giving my priority on the first place, I finally achieved to what can I called “a safe stage” for my latest pointer. Well, I aim to get a higher pointer for my semester 5 since it will be my last chance to obtain a Dean’s List since I can’t attend the DL’s dinner when I get a DL during my last semester. Pray for me, will you?

Secondly, my love life is really on a stable side right now. We met during the Vice Chancellor Cup tournament in  Malacca and we hooked up on Christmas Day; on midnight to be exact. Ought to tell you that she knows my true nature so it’ll be easy on her to replied to people who says that I’m flirting with some other girl. Hope so.

Thirdly, in the term of social life and having fun throughout the previous year, I do make a lot of improvement. In the sense of internal ability and capability, I have gain a lot of new knowledge and new skills for me to use it in the future which I could say to you that it is quite handy and useful.

My new year resolution is quite simple and realistical. This is due because it is my final year in UiTM Sarawak and I would love to make activities which will make me feel proud and feel satisfy on the things that I’ll do.

Here’s my resolution:

1. Achieving Dean’s List for Semester 5 & 6.

2. Be less involve in an activity which could make me extremely really busy.

3. Getting my hands on the DSLR camera.

4. Travelling the beautiful Sarawak.

5. Being a volunteer in the Sarawak Rainforest Music Festival 2010.

6. Try to eat healthy by having Kara’s Vegetarian Week every month.

7. Putting up my body at its top-notch.

8. Be much more aggressive in the Venusian Arts.

Well, I do hope that I could achieve all this things in this year but it is all depends on myself either my stand is really firm or not. Temptation, temptation & temptation.

Through The Fun!!!!

My friends and I went to the beach yesterday despite we have loads of stuff to do. To overcome the boredom, we decided to sing-a-long the song which was played in the radio and we must sing the song by turn.

I was the last person in turn until the next song does really makes my adrenaline run up high as my most favourite song being aired! Yes, exactly; you read my mind correctly. It’s the song that boosts me up through that last week.

So I sang the song with the entire feel being expressed and the lyrics just being popped in my mind until I hardly believe myself that I could sing the song in a clear go.

That song does also catch their ears. Hence, rather I myself singing the song all by myself, it becomes a sing-along song! Even I’ve seen some of my friends just follow the end of the lyric’s line because they haven’t used to the lyric at the first minute but magically, they can sing it really well, way more better than I am.

We do have the blast when the song is being aired! I mean, what is more excites than having a journey to the beach while having a sing-a-long with your friends in the car? I surely am going to keep that moment in my mind like forever.

That song rocks! Finally, I found out who are the singer for this song and apparently, it is our own local band; BUNKFACE!

The first time I heard the song, it would never occur to me it is being brought by our own local band. Talking about the song sounds international.

So I tried my luck to search via Facebook and Friendster and as the result; I FINALLY FOUND THEM!!!! Both at this link; www.facebook.com/everyoneconnects and www.friendster.com/everyoneconnects. Need to remind you that this is the official page for the song and there’s also an application in Facebook especially for it. Give it a jolt. It may brighten up your day!

Song searching

I was getting into a really rough week. With the pile loads of assignments, the problem with the social life sure makes my mind a bit tangled. It just I want to get out from these situation just by running away.

The habit of mine to listen to the radio, Hitz.fm usually, to listen to the songs before I went to sleep does really help me quite well.

But, there is one song when I heard it being aired in the radio does boost up my energized me up. It is really motivational indeed.

The song tells me on how I should push myself hard to face the challenge because despite what-so-ever type of problems and difficulty that I face, I’m not alone because there are people that have same situation as mine and they just take the risk to jump to the cold pool.

If they could even do it, why not me? Suddenly, I remember a quote from a great friend of mine; I rather think he is my life guru; “Trouble happens….”. Even you want to live your life without any problems or any difficulties, it will come itself to you.

The only thing and option that you can do is just JUMP INTO THE COLD POOL! You will eventually have the experience if it’s happening again to you in the future. At least you are prepared for it.

A line of the lyrics of the song “…..I thought I can do everything…” does really make me think the nature of humans to be quite greedy. They think they are born with know-it-all-knowledge and skills. Thus in the end, they will end up having a pile of problems that they need to sort because they are afraid to share that thing with others.

That song is really good indeed because it will made someone’s day. Well, it did to me myself. Hence, I have the task to found out what song is it? Guys help me out here would you?

A trip to Lundu

On Friday, when I was having my sleep in my room because of the extremely tiring field work at the farm, Mike called.

“Black, do you have any activity this evening?”

“No, why?” and suddenly I feel a bit of discomfort through the question.

“If you do not have anything else to do, I want you to come with us to Lundu to survey the place for our Family Day project”.

I was thinking before giving the answer because I just want to relax for the whole evening but since it is a big project that has been given to our class by our Programme Chief; hence the answer is “Yes, I’ll meet you around 2 p,m”.

After we sorted out the car rental; btw, we used my licence but it is who Mike who’s driving; Mike, Anna, Farah, Irwan and me headed our way to a 3 hours journey to Lundu.

And if you guys does not know our direction to Lundu; if you realize the map of Sarawak and there’s a place that look just like the tail at the very bottom left, that’s the destination.

After we surveyed from one to another camp site in Lundu, we manage to found one suitable place for it. It’s called Kem Pandan.

DSC05083

From the picture itself, you could see how beautiful and clean the beach are. But pity, for the actual activity that would be held in October, under UiTM outdoor policy, there will be no swimming activity. Sucks? Yes, I know.

DSC05084

The new couple, Anna and Mike walking side by side on a beach for the first time, Looks kind of romantic, isn’t it?

DSC05085

Yours truly are being affectionate towards the beach. If my memory serves me right, it was nine months ago since the last day I set my foot on a beach.DSC05091

See the loving couples behind me? Personally, I think that is the best place for every couple to hang-out way far from the noisy city. Plus, the ambience is near to perfect when you’re talking about getting you’re couple for a walk.

DSC05095

And do not forget guys to take pictures along the way when you’re at the beach. A picture could tell a thousand words.

DSC05096

When I was walking on the beach, I was amazed on this big structure that are just at the centre of the beach. And its height is around two-stories high. Hence, I opt myself to climb the structure and be on “top of the world”.

DSC05097

To give you a clear picture of the big rock structure, here is the plain picture of it. FYI, it was taken about 30 metres from the structure itself. So, imagine the actual height and mass of it.

DSC05098

What interest me is that the surface structure on the rock due to the erosion that has been made by the ocean tide. By academic fact, the process of this type of erosion takes around more than 20 years to achieve this level of state.

DSC05100

And finally, less than three minutes of hike, I arrived at the top while has the feeling of satisfaction. The best part is where the panorama from up the top is very cool indeed.

DSC05101

If you notice in the picture, the surface of the rock is totally different from the surface of the bottom rock due to the fact that the source of the agent of the erosion is the wind. Since the wind contains water (humidity), thus it takes a long time to create such surface effect of erosion.

That is why the bottom structure suffer more effect than the top because it it cause by physical agent erosion factor; the ocean.

DSC05102

Just imagine my feeling when I have this panorama within my sight on the top of the structure. It was a very great feeling indeed.

DSC05104

The last pose from the top of the world. Love the facial expression.

DSC05105

See the scratch marks on the giant structure. It is called “Rill Erosion”.

DSC05110

Here’s the picture at the jetty in Lundu. Thanks to the uncle who snapped this picture of mine.

DSC05111

Finally, thanks to Irwan and Farah who would tag along in the site survey trip. Btw, they are the new edition of the couple in the class. Sorry for blurting this out you guys.

DSC05112

And also, not forgetting Anna who is the loyal site surveyor for our class together with her hubby cum the driver of the day.

DSC05114

The last credit shall be given to Mike a.k.a our driver for the day and also the Project Manager of the Family Day.

DSC05115

Hope to see you guys again for next post of my journey. From yours truly, have a great day.
