Sah! Keputusan Peperiksaan UiTM Bagi Program Ijazah Sarjana Muda Pada 17 Jun 2011

Merujuk kepada perkara di atas, dengan ini adalah disahkan oleh Dr. Hadariah Bahron daripada Hal Ehwal Akademik bahawasanya keputusan peperiksaan bagi semester Disember 2010 – Mei 2011 untuk Ijazah Sarjana Muda akan diumum dan dikeluarkan lebih awal iaitu pada 17hb Jun 2011 daripada tarikh awal yakni 2hb Julai 2011.

Ini adalah untuk memudahkan pelajar semester akhir untuk mendapatkan transkrip akhir peperiksaan mereka bagi menjalani latihan praktikal, memohon biasiswa, menjalani chambering, menjalani magang (internship) dan memohon pekerjaan.

UiTM Sarawak 74th Graduation Convocation

Alhamdulillah, praise to God that finally and officially, I graduated from my Diploma in Plantation and Management (DPIM) study in UiTM Sarawak in its very own convocation held for the second time in its campus.

Three years of strive to obtained a scroll of diploma was being paid handsomely. All the tears, sweat and blood which has been dripped from every single of my pores are now inked on a roll of paper stating my fight to be among the best has finally came true.

When my name was being called to go up to the stage to get my transcript from Pro-Chancellor, Tan Sri Dr. Arsyad Ayub, my heart began to beaten so fast which eventually made me to could not answer the question that was being asked by Tan Sri, “Apa itu D.I.P (What is D.IP) ?”.

My mind could not processed it as my goal was to get that transcript and walk out from the stage without having myself trip. When I finally returned to my seat, then I realized his question was referring to my course, Diploma in Plantation, where as we here in UiTM Sarawak refer it as DPIM which stands for Diploma in Plantation and Management. No wonder I have no clue based on the question he asked me earlier.

When the ceremony ended, my parents congratulated me and I can see the proudness from their facial expression; a scene which is the most worth reminiscence in my memory. Afterwards, I took a graduation studio photo with both of my parents in the same frame; which both of my two previous brother does not experience for their previous Polytechnic convocation.

I will not not wasting my time to show you the pictures that I took since I know you guys are eager to view it.

Unfortunately, I was unable to locate my lecturers who has really gave their best to taught me and shaping me to as what I am right now. I want to take a picture with them as I want to give my full fledge appreciation but none the less, I have Sir Syukri’s Facebook account to thank for the wonderful picture below. Quite weird on how my other classmates able to grab and took pictures with them. Perhaps I was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Here, I want to express my gratitude towards these two lecturers who really influenced me to continue my passion towards communication study; Associate Professor Dr. Margaret Chan and Mr. Zayn Gregory.

Dr. Margaret opened up my eyes on how important is communication to change starting from an individual up to a community. She taught me the wonderful things about the arts of changing the socio-economy of a community which leads to a great better life for them. Thus, I determine to be a change agent and in order for that to happen, the change must be start from me in which I chose Interpersonal as my new major under the Faculty of Mass Communication for my degree program. She is one of the lecturers who support me to continue my study in interpersonal communication.

As for Mr. Zayn, for me he is the best public speaker in the whole UiTM Sarawak and thanks to his advice and taught, he shown me the incredible way to be a good public speaker which helps me a lot in many debate and public speaking tournament. One of the abilities to influence people is the ability to give a good speech and giving out good body language in which Mr. Zayn are best at. It is not enough for me to attend his lectures, but I also learn from him by observing his style while delivering in class. Perhaps I can say, 90 per cent of my public speaking skills is being nurtured by him subconsciously since my first class with him back in Part-2 of diploma and I really feel thankful to him as right now I’m one of the best public speaker amongst the 1st year students in my new faculty.

Thank you all; my fellow lecturers, classmates and friends from making me as what I am right now and I promise you that one day I’ll be a ‘somebody’ as a shown of my full fledge appreciation towards your support and knowledge that has being given by these wonderful people.

Graduation Photoshoot

Yesterday, Hana, Yaya, Yan, Kak Nina and myself were having our photoshoot in the conjunction of our diploma graduation.

Since I already returned the robe earlier on, hence I can’t be in the picture since all these three lovely ladies; Hana, Yaya and Yan are in their robe; and which the picture would be quite weird having one guy in the frame and not having one.

Thus, I asked Hana if I can brought along my camera and since she already have an official photographer for the shoot, hence it makes me as the unofficial photographer when she said yes. *chuckles*

Without any further due, I’ll upload some of the pictures for your view and I might say its not that much since I took the picture impromptu.

So there it is. The three beauties. Thank you to Hana and her photographer for allowing me to lend his umbrella flash when we do the shoot in his studio.

Format Factory – A Simple Solution To Video Conversion

I own a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone and I love to bring my music videos collection around and therefore I need to convert them to MP4 format with the 640 x 360 dimension.

There is so many video converter out there but is there any converter that you just click it according to your phone dimension without going to go to the setting.

As simple as one click.

There is ladies and gentlemen. Let me introduce to you to Format Factory.

Step 1:

Open the application and click “All to Mobile Device”.

Step 2:

Click “Output Setting” and perhaps before hand you could add the video that you want to convert by clicking “Add File”.

Step 3:

Since Nokia N97 have the same dimension of 640 x 360, I choose “Nokia N97 High Quality”.

Click “OK” and start to convert and you’re done!

So next time if you want to convert another video, it has been preset to your setting earlier on and therefore, you just open the program, add the video and just by a single click you can convert it!

Windows 7 USB DVD Tool

In the era of technology, everyone wants their device to be small and powerful and one of the device is laptop.

By the introduction of Intel Atom processor, computer manufacturer such as Hewlett-Packard (HP), Dell, ASUS, Acer and such can make a small device yet powerful enough for ordinary usage for example to surf the internet, listening to songs and videos, typing documents and making presentation slides.

As light as 0.8 – 1.3 kg, the device knows as a netbook is portable and lightweight for you to be with you travel around. It is so small that is couldn’t fit a DVD-drive because of power drain factor. So most of the files are being transferred from USB drive or memory cards.

Here comes the trouble. Imagine your operation system crashed and cannot be rectified anymore; thus reformatting is the only way. But your installer is in a DVD and you cannot format because the netbook does not have a DVD bay. As alternative, you can use external DVD player but not all people can afford it.

That is why this software comes in handy. The good news is instead of using DVD, you can use your memory card or USB drive as your installer. The bad news is it is only work with Windows 7 installer only.

The name of the software is Windows 7 USB DVD Tool. First, by using certain ISO maker software, such as Ultra ISO and a PC, turn the DVD installer as a disk image; ISO format.

Done? Here is the best part.

Step 1:

Insert a USB drive at least with the capacity of 4GB to the USB port.

Open the software and browse for the ISO disk image that you just created.

After choosing, click “Open”.

Step 2:

Then choose “USB device” and choose the USB drive that you inserted. Click “Next” and wait.

And presto! It is done!

For you to use it as a formatter media for netbook, insert the USB drive with Windows 7 installer that you created just now and go to BIOS setting by pressing F2 when you turn on the netbook.

Go to “Bootable Device” setting and put up “USB Disk” as the first option.

And the rest is all the same when you reformat using the Windows 7 DVD installer.

After it restart the installation, please plug out the USB device because if you did not do so, the process of installation will be continuing on from the start.

And there it is ladies and gentlemen. A good method to reformat your netbook. I hope it is useful for you guys.

CPU-Z–Ensure You Get What You Want From Your Laptop Dealer

Nowadays, the usage of computer is really essential until it is almost impossible to live without one.

So you go to the nearest computer dealer or any computer shop to buy one; and perhaps you already knows what is the laptop’s specification that you want.

Or the promoter there explain to you the specification of the computer which you are eyeing on and you decide to buy it. Therefore, he would ask you to come again after certain period because he need to install some essential software and configuring the setting.

When you come back afterwards, the money exchange hand and you bring the laptop to your house before knew that the specification isn’t like you wanted. Hence, you go to the dealer and argue but he do not want to refund your money plus it is a long way to get back the money from the consumer tribunal.

Thus, I introduce to you a software that could prevent the incident from happening again.

It is called CPU-Z.

From the above diagram, you can see that it shows you all the specification from the CPU information to the graphic info.

So, if next time you want to make a visit to the computer dealer either to buy or assisting your friend to a laptop, make sure you have this software inside your pendrive.

Creating WiFi Hotspot Using Your Laptop

We all faces the same problem; fice WiFi enabled device such as a laptop, a smartphone, Playstation Portable, iPad and a netbook but the drawback is that you only have one internet line.

You want to share your internet connection so that all the devices could get through the internet and everybody in the house would not be grabbing the computer among themselves since it is the only device which have the line.

For certain people, it might be okay if they have a fix line internet at home because they just simply can purchase a WiFi router. But you need to be reminded that not all people are capable to purchase one and have the knowledge to maintain the router if anything happen in certain cases the technician is not available.

What if I tell you that with just a PC operated by Windows 7 and just by purchasing a cheap WiFi a/b/g/n USB doogle, you could create your own hotspot right at home, anywhere and anytime. It is also an advantage if you have a laptop or a netbook which also operated by Windows 7 which also equipped with a WiFi module; seriously, which are these portable devices are not?

There is a software called Connectify developed by a team called Connectify team which have the outstanding ability to change your laptop to a hotspot device without actually protruding yourself of using the laptop for normal use.

Using the above diagram (click the picture for larger view), you will understand on how these software work. Hence, there is no excuse for you to do not know on how to use this software. Even my 7 years old brother knows how to enable it.

And there you have it. A solution to your problem especially if you have 7 sibling with WiFi enabled device which really irritates me since I’m the only one in the house with a mobile broadband. Hence, I use this software to save my time of setting up an ad-hoc with the uncool LAN icon.

And yeah, speaking of LAN, you also can connected your LAN friends using this software when you want to play your games with the other person next to your room.
